Who We Are.

A family-run farm cultivating joy and inspiration with Indiana grown.

We are a small specialty-cut flower and Christmas tree farm located in Kokomo, Indiana. The farm is located just two miles from downtown on Carter Road/County Road 50 North, split by the US-31 bypass. We produce high-quality locally-grown fresh flowers, greenery and Christmas trees for seasonal decor. Our goal is to supply more people with Indiana-grown products and create inspiration for seasonal floral and Christmas decor.

Established in 2020, Pine & Posey is a venture of a third-generation female farmer who’s hoping to pass the joy of agriculture on!

Sarah & Joseph Zahn (with sons) and Larry & Sharon Smith

Pine & Posey produces fresh, specialty-cut flowers and evergreens grown on the farm in northcentral Indiana. Domestic, locally-grown, fresh-cut flowers and trees last longer, smell better and use less harsh chemicals and preservatives! Support local while receiving a superior product.

Find out if local flowers and trees are right for you

  • Almost 80% of fresh flowers used in the U.S. come from over the border (Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Israel). Shipping flowers and trees afar incurs huge transportation, energy, refrigeration and storage costs, leaving an enormous carbon footprint.

  • Imported flowers and shipped trees are often cut a week or more before they arrive in a a consumer’s hand. During that time, quality and vase/display life decline! Our locally-grown flowers are cut the day before or the morning of the day they get to your vase.

  • We use responsible farming methods like integrated pest management, diverse cropping systems, low-input fertilization program, while encouraging biodiversity, soil health and water conservation.

  • Imported flowers and trees are bred for uniformity to fit into a box or on a trailer and hold up for long-distance travel, but not for natural fragrance! We can produce a wider range of colors, forms and scents because we grow for beauty and joy.

  • Keep you money here in our community. Help us share the experience of agriculture to the next generation while we contribute to the local economy and community.

  • Flowers reduce stress and improve mood. Many of us connect flowers to a memory, person, place, a time, season or event. Create great memories with us!

  • Indiana provides a variety of seasons and we grow everything in the field, no heated greenhouses or hoophouses are used. With Indiana seasonality, our blooms are generally available from early spring to the first frost (April-October).

We offer pumpkins, evergreens and dried florals in the fall and winter (September-December).
